Dear friends, family, and strangers,
Meet Emily Knerr. She is your typical seven year old girl. She loves to dress up, Taylor Swift, and her little sisters. However, she has faced a medical battle that has made her wise beyond her years.
Read her story on our About Emily page.
We are here to celebrate her fighting spirit, her long life ahead, and her courage. So sitting around one day I tried to figure of what out of the ordinary, borderline insane thing can I do to try to help a little. Somehow I came up with the idea of running for Emily. For those who know me well running a 5k would be a little ordinary, a marathon is too traditional so I have decided to run a 100 mile ultramarathon to raise money for the Knerr family. The Pinhoti100 will take place November 6-7 in Alabama. If I am lucky it will take me to 28 consecutive hours to complete.
What I am asking from all friends, family, and those who want to make a difference is simply a ten dollar donation no more no less. The ultimate goal is to have 1000 people donate $10. That is giving up a morning trip to Starbucks, two beers after work, or a trip to to Milo’s Famous Hamburgers. You can donate via secure PayPal . Please spread the word via email, Facebook, and Twitter.
See you on the other end of the 100 miles.
